How to Install Shelf Paper in Drawers
Shelf paper will keep cupboards and drawers safe from stains or potential warping from wet dishes or leaking bottles. Shelf liners for drawers are available with self-adhesive backs. Self-adhesive shelf liners take slightly longer to install than rubber shelf liners, but it is durable and comes in seemingly endless designs and colors. Remove the drawer and place in an area with adequate working space. Clean the drawer of dirt and dust. A small hand-held vacuum will work well for the task. Wipe the bottom of the drawer with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

Measure the width and length of the drawer. A cloth measuring tape will give an accurate measurement because it is flexible. Place the liner on a flat surface with the right-side of the liner facing down.

Mark the liner with the measurements from the drawer. Self-adhesive paper will have guidelines to help with measuring and cutting. Cut the liner according to the exact dimensions of the drawer.

Place the liner inside the drawer if it does not have a self-adhesive backing to complete the project. Continue to the next steps if the liner has a self-adhesive backing.

Pull a corner of the paper backing away from the liner if you are using the self-adhesive paper. Press the sticky liner into the corner and hold in place with one hand. Hold in place and gradually remove the backing from the liner. Press the liner to the drawer bottom while pulling off the backing.

Smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles that might occur. Bubbles or wrinkles can be removed by lifting the liner up to the point of the bubble and slowly replacing the liner while smoothing it out. Press the liner firmly to the bottom of the drawer.
