How to Change Hoover Self-Propelled Bagless Vacuum Belts
The Hoover self-propelled bagless vacuum is officially called the Wind Tunnel. Because the vacuum is self-propelled, it has two belts. One is for the brush roll and the other is for the self-propel feature. If either of these belts is broken or damaged, the broken belt should be replaced immediately. The process to change the belt is quick and easy. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

Self-Propel Belt (Large)
-
1
Turn off the vacuum. Unplug the power cord and flip the vacuum over to expose the underside of the power nozzle.

-
-
3
Pull the access plate off to expose the brush roll, motor and belts.

4
Slide the large belt away from the large pulley (self-propel pulley) and the motor shaft. If the belt is broken, make sure you remove any pieces of it from the power nozzle.
-

Install the new belt by placing it around the motor shaft first, and then wrap it around the large pulley. Make sure the lettering is on the outside of the belt. Turn the pulley a few times to make sure the belt is on track. The belt might fit loosely once installed.

Replace the access plate and screw on tightly.

Tips & Warnings
The brush roll belt in your Wind Tunnel vacuum is a lifetime belt; generally, it will last a long time. Hoover does not specify a service interval for the belt, but you should inspect it every six months.
