Things You'll Need
- Hairspray
- Leather cleaner
- Rag
- Water
- Rubbing alcohol
- Leather conditioner

Spray the ink spot thoroughly with hairspray. Let it sit for a few minutes, then clean off the hairspray with a clean, damp rag. The chemicals in the hairspray react with the ink, making it easy to wipe away.

Apply a small amount of leather cleaner to the spot if the hairspray didn't completely clean it away. Let it sit for a moment, then wipe it away with a rag dampened with water.

Allow the area to air dry.

If you were not able to get to the stain promptly, these first two methods may not work. There is a third method that may work on older ink stains.
Dip a rag into rubbing alcohol and work it into the stain with a rag. Scrub the ink stain in a circular motion. Allow the spot to air dry. It may take a few attempts with the rubbing alcohol to completely remove the ink spot.

Treat the cleaned area with leather conditioner to prevent the leather from drying out.
