How to Remove Mold From a Barbie Doll
Barbie dolls can endure a chaotic existence. From crayon and pen marks to mold growing in the joints, this small doll can end up looking a wreck. The only way to deal with these problems, especially mold, is to clean the doll. You need to gently wash the doll and then use a cleanser that is harsh enough to kill the mold, but gentle enough to avoid damaging the doll. You may need to repeat the process a few times depending on how bad the mold problem is.

Tips & Warnings
Be extremely gentle when washing any painted areas on the Barbie doll, such as the face. Harsh scrubbing, strong soap and regular bleach can cause the paint to flake or fade. Depending on how severe the mold problem is, you may want to buy a pair of dish washing gloves to protect your hands.
Never lay a Barbie doll on its back to dry. This will make the hair dry in a flat and lifeless shape. It can also cause water inside the doll to pool towards the back and potentially create stains or more mold problems. Once you use the wash cloth to help scrub away mold, the cloth is going to be mold ridden. Make sure not to use this cloth again until you have had a chance to throw it into the washing machine with some color-safe bleach.
