This is very important, as black carpet beetle larvae are very small and can lodge themselves in the crevices of your carpet--making it impossible to eliminate them. Once infestation occurs, they can damage your carpet or other fabrics in your home.
-
2
Vacuum the entire surface of the affected area completely before treating the area.
-
-
3
Decide whether you will use a pest control specialist to treat the area with pesticide or if you'll buy your own pesticide to treat the area.
-
4
If you've decided to treat the problem yourself, gently spray Suspend SC (or other black carpet beetle killer) on the affected area.
-
5
Let the area dry for approximately 20 minutes.
-
6
Vacuum the area again to remove any dead beetles from your carpet fibers.
