How to Easily Get Kids To Eat Vegetables

Kids and vegetables usually don't mix. So here is a simple way to get your child to eat the root vegetable sweet potato which is packed with tons of essential nutrients!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 sweet potato
  • pot
  • pre-made mac and cheese
  • water
  • blender
  1. Step 1

    Bring a pot of water to a boil.

  2. Step 2

    Pop a sweet potato (skin on) in the pot and boil for 25 minutes or until fork tender.

  3. Step 3

    Meanwhile make your child's favorite mac and cheese according to box instructions.

  4. Step 4

    Remove cooked sweet potato and let cool completely before proceeding.

  5. Step 5

    Peel away the skin of the potato and cut into big chunks.

  6. Step 6

    Puree the sweet potato in a blender with about 1 tablespoon of water.

  7. Step 7

    Add a tablespoon of the pureed sweet potato to your child's mac and cheese. If she doesn't notice the difference, add a little more next time! Freeze the unused sweet potato puree so it doesn't go to waste. You can also add pureed vegetables to pasta sauces, curries, smear it on a sandwich, and fold it in cookies or even brownies!
