-
Step 3
Meanwhile make your child's favorite mac and cheese according to box instructions.
-
Step 4
Remove cooked sweet potato and let cool completely before proceeding.
-
Step 5
Peel away the skin of the potato and cut into big chunks.
-
Step 6
Puree the sweet potato in a blender with about 1 tablespoon of water.
-
Step 7
Add a tablespoon of the pureed sweet potato to your child's mac and cheese. If she doesn't notice the difference, add a little more next time! Freeze the unused sweet potato puree so it doesn't go to waste. You can also add pureed vegetables to pasta sauces, curries, smear it on a sandwich, and fold it in cookies or even brownies!
