You may not be aware but eBay allows you to hold multiple accounts. You may be wondering why you would need more than one account. Well there are many advantages to having a second eBay account. You might want to start a consignment business. You might want a separate account for buying and one for selling. Some people even open a second account just to hide their spending habits from their spouse. Just keep a few things in mind. You cannot use one account to bid on items that the other account has for sale. You also will need a separate email account and eBay user name for this new account. Your new account will have a feedback of 0 and will show up as a newly registered eBay account. And if you do something to get this new account banned, then you risk having your other account banned as well.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Open a new email account. There are many free email accounts available out there. Yahoo, Gmail, and AOL are 3 of the largest ones to choose from.

  2. Step 2

Add this email account to your PayPal account. If you plan on selling with this new account then you will need PayPal to accept payments.

  3. Step 3

Go to eBay.com and click register to open a new account. You can (and should) use the same information that your other eBay account has registered. You just have to make sure you use your new email account information.

  4. Step 4

After you have registered you will need to confirm your email account with eBay. To do this just go to your new email account and click on the confirm button in the confirmation email from eBay.

  5. Step 5

Now if you wish to sell then you need to create a sellers account in eBay. To do this, just go back into eBay and log into your new account. Under your account screen you will see a link to verify you’re ID. You just need a credit card in your name in order to do this. You will then also have to specify how you wish to pay for your eBay fees. You can select credit card, PayPal, or checking account for this.
