  1. Step 1

Choose a topic that you will want to write an article on to make ad revenue on. The key to choosing a beginning topic is to choose something that people are going to be searching for on the Internet. One of the easiest ways to do this is to answer a question that many people may have.

  2. Step 2

Research different keywords and keyword strings that you can use in the article. There are many different sites to do this with, one of the most popular is the one that is run by google. You will want to make sure that there is enough search volume on the keyword that you choose but not a lot of competition. You can also check to see what advertisers are paying per click on the keyword.

Write a 400 to 600 word article based on the topic that you choose in step one. This is considered the optimum length for an article that is looking to make ad revenue. Most of the freelance writing you will do in general will probably fall in this range.
