How to make a tasty pumpkin bread loaf. Great for the seasons, good in general anytime.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10x6 Loaf pan
  • Whisk
  • Oven Mitts
  • A large mixing bowl
  • 16 once canned pumpkin
  • 4 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Step 1

Use a large mixing bowl and combine flour, baking soda, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Then add the canned pumpkin, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Then stir again until thoroughly blended.

  2. Step 2

Pour mix into a loaf pan. The loaf pan should be lightly greased. I used a 10x6 non-stick loaf pan. Mix should make about two loafs. (If you have your own loaf pan already and it's a smaller size, you should be able to make more loafs.)

  3. Step 3

Preheat your oven to 350*F. Bake for about one hour to one &1/2. Test the loaf at one hour to one &1/2. Use a knife or a fork to test. Should have a solid consistency of a sponge loaf.

  4. Step 4

Remove from the oven and let cool until ready to serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep paper towels nearby for any clean ups you may need to do.
  • You can replace the sugar with splenda if you choose.
  • Do not over cook, it can be as hard as a rock.
