When marketing to increase traffic and sales to your ecommerce site, there are a few techniques that tend to work best.
When trying to drive traffic to your site, you are limited to the promotion of products, limiting your approach. Obviously you can't offer a great new article or free offer like content-based sites can. So, by getting a bit creative in your marketing techniques, and with the use of articles, you can direct targeted traffic with an interest in particular product(s) to your site quickly, easily and best of all free.

  1. Step 1

    Pick A Product:
    Start by choosing a products that would appeal to a larger audience. If you have an established ecommerce site, start with your best seller. If you are starting with a new ecommerce site, do a bit of research at competitors sites to find what the best sellers are on their sites.

  2. Step 2

    Write An Article:
    Once you're choosen the product to promote, you will now want to write an article highlighting all the benefits of purchasing your product. If you are not experienced with writing, take your time to visit a few article directory sites and get a feel for how your article should flow.

  3. Step 3

    Distribute Your Article:
    When you feel your article is complete, you will want to begin to distribute them in high traffic areas. When doing this, the Author's Resource box is a very important step to increase sales. This is where you will provide a link Directly To The Product you have featured in the article. A great way to word the content in the Author's resource box is, 'For more information on ___(product)___, visit __(link__).
