A Canker sore is a type of oral ulcer. A canker sore consists of an open sore in the mouth, that is caused by a break in the mucous membrane of the mouth or throat. There are a few ways to use natural remedies to treat a canker sore, and also to help prevent future canker sores.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

If your canker sore is still active, apply Clove Oil directly 3-4 times per day. Hold the Qtip against the canker sore for a minute before removing.

  2. Step 2

Apply Myrrh Tincture to an active canker sore 1-2 times per day, alternating with the Clove Oil. This also helps to speed up the healing process of the canker sore.

  3. Step 3

Take Zinc Lozenges for both active and non active canker sores to help speed up the healing process.

  4. Step 4

Take a B-Vitamin Complex and Folic Acid supplements to prevent future canker sores. Deficiencies in these vitamins are often times part of the reason many people develop constant canker sores.
