Step 1
When you fertilize a friends farm in Farmville it will give them a bonus of experience points when they harvest that plant. They will know their crops have been fertilized because there will be little moving stars around the crop.

Step 2
To fertilize a friends farm in Facebook you will need to go help a friends farm. You do this by signing into Farmville and clicking on one of your friends pictures at the bottom of the Farmville application. Then select "visit/help ****'s farm". This will take you to their farm.

Step 3
Once you arrive at your friends Farmville farm you will get a pop-up that asks if you would like to help them with their farm. After you click accept you will then be offered to fertilize their farm. If you accept you will be rewarded 5 bags of fertilizer.

Step 4
You will not receive the fertilizer with every visit to a friends farm. This is chosen randomly and may not happen at all.

Step 5
You can see how much fertilizer you have by looking above your friends pictures where the amount of fuel you have is listed.
