How to Fix White Dots on an XBox 360
The Xbox 360 has a known issue where overheating causes the game console to display white dots and thin lines of interference running through the image being viewed. This is called the "white screen of death" and requires a twofold solution: using a high-quality video cable, and realigning the heat shield so it makes a better connection with the circuit board, keeping the console from overheating. Both of these issues can be taken care of by the owner and will save the cost of sending the console in for a costly repair.
