How to Fold & Make the Origami Pig Towel From the Motel Commercial
Origami is the ancient art of paper folding. You fold the paper to create animals or other shapes. However, there are other materials that can be folded as well. One familiar form of origami often is found in hotels and on cruise ships: towel origami. There are many different animals you can make out of towels. One popular one is the pig.

Wash and dry all the towels to make them easier to work with and softer.
-
2
Start with the large towel. Roll both of the 30-inch sides inward until they meet in the center.

Fold the towel in half so the flat sides meet and the rolled sides are out. Pull the corners of the towel out of the center of each roll approximately 1 inch.

4
Hold the two opposing corners in each hand so that you have a top and bottom corner in each hand. Pull the two sets of corners apart to create the body.
-
5
Place the body in a sitting position and cross the arms.
-
6
Using the medium towel, fold the towel in half to create a 8.5" x 28" rectangle.
-
7
Fold in half again. Take one short end and fold it in 1 inch.
-
8
Join the two corners in the center to form a triangle.
-
9
Holding the triangle down, push the top point into itself until it resembles a triangle with the top cut off.
-
10
Roll both sides inward until the meet in the center.
-
11
Holding the head, pull the forehead downward to create two ears. Place the head on the body and adjust the nose and mouth as necessary. Place the sunglasses on the face.
