How to Close a Butterfly Chair

Leave the cover on the butterfly chair when you fold it up.

Hold the chair on opposite, diagonal ends, with one hand on the bottom and one on the top.

Pull the ends toward the middle until the chair is folded about halfway.

Pull the other two diagonal ends toward each other. All four sides of the chair should start to come together.

Grab the chair from the top and push the two high ends, then the two low ends together to close the chair as much as possible. You might have to wrap your arms around a large, heavy chair to close it completely.

Open the chair by pulling two diagonal ends halfway open, then pull the other two ends open. If a large chair is too wide to open all the way, sit in it and push the four sides out the rest of the way.
