How to Make Your Own Dust Removal Home Cleaner

Commercial dust removal products often contain chemicals that can be hazardous to your health as well as the environment. You can effectively eliminate dust with a simple recipe made from common household items. Your home will be dust-free in no time. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Glass jar
  • Olive oil
  • White vinegar
  • Water
  • 1 quart covered container
  • Cloth cut from T-shirt fabric
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Homemade furniture polish

    • 1

      Combine 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil with 1/4 cup of white vinegar in a 1 quart container.

      Fill the container the rest of the way with clean water.

      Cover the container and shake the solution so the contents are mixed well.

    Reusable dust remover cloth

      Cut a clean piece of T-shirt fabric of a size for dusting. Place it in a glass jar.

      Add 2 tablespoons of the homemade furniture polish to the jar and seal it. Leave it overnight so the cloth absorbs the liquid.

      Remove the cloth and use it around the house to remove dust. It can be returned to the sealed jar and reused several times. If the cloth becomes dirty, launder it and reapply the oil as in Step 2.

      Wipe the polished areas with a clean, dry cloth.
