1
Place water in the steam chamber of your iron. Heat the iron to a low setting. You may find that you need to turn the iron hotter, but start at a very low setting and work your way hotter slowly to avoid damaging your furniture.

2
Place a clean, solid color t-shirt or another soft, clean cloth over the spot. Do not use a printed t-shirt. The ink from the print could damage the table, the iron or both.

3
Move the iron over the cloth slowly with the steam on. Start with the iron approximately 3 inches away from the table and move in circular motions around the white mark. You can keep moving closer until the spot starts to dissipate.
-
4
Use rags to remove any water that gets onto the table as you go. Do not let water stand on your table for more than a few seconds.
-
5
Repeat the process until the spot begins to disappear. If you aren't having success, turn the heat up a little bit at a time until the process starts to work.

Tips & Warnings
You can also make a paste of equal parts mayonnaise and baking soda to remove the stain. Rub the solution into the white mark with a clean soft cloth. Use a hairdryer to heat the spot. Keep the hairdryer moving to avoid scorching the wood. Wipe off mayonnaise solution completely once the spots are gone.
Try the iron method on a less visible spot to make sure that your table won't be damaged by this process. Depending on how your table is finished, the heat from the iron could react poorly with the topcoat.
