Instructions

1. Remove all weeds around the vines. Weeds will choke out the vines and stunt the growth of the morning glory plants.

2. Place trellises behind the area where you have morning glories or plan to plant the seeds. The morning glory will need to attach itself to the trellis to reach its maximum height of about 8 feet.

3. Break up the ground in the growing and planting area. Loose soil helps the vines spread out and keep producing more vines and flowers. If planting from seeds, sow the seeds on top of the soil and keep moist but not soaked.

4. Add morning glory fertilizer in the summer after the plants have a good growth. Morning glories do not require any more fertilization than once a year.

5. Water the plants only when they are not receiving enough rainwater. Morning glories need water every day in the spring during germination and growth. Hot summer days will require watering every other day.

6. Train the morning glory vines to go where you want by placing the vines on the trellis and spreading them out so they cover the entire trellis.
