Instructions

Small Glass Items
-
1
Place the glass item in the freezer and leave the glass in there for two to three hours.
-
2
Remove the glass and use a spoon or butter knife to scrape out the wax. The freezing process enables the waxy material to pop out easier.
-
-
3
Place a dish towel at the bottom of your kitchen sink, fill the sink with hot water and add a few drops of dish soap. The towel prevents the wax from going down the drain and the soapy water helps remove the remaining waxy sheen on the glass.
-
4
Use a sponge to wipe off any remaining wax.
Large Glass Surfaces
-
5
Scrape large chunks of wax off of glass surfaces with a spoon or table knife.
-
6
Hold an ice cube over the remaining wax portions for about a minute to freeze the material and then continue to scrape the residue off. Alternately, you can set a blow dryer to its lowest setting, hold it over the wax and then use a paper towel to soak it up the melted residue.
-
7
Spray a glass cleaner, such as Windex, on the glass surface and use a paper towel to clean up any remaining materials.
