Whether you're hoping to reuse an old plastic tablecloth that's been crumpled or trying to get the fold creases out of a new one, a plastic tablecloth calls for creative forms of wrinkle removal. You can use the same technique to smooth the wrinkles out of plain plastic tablecloths as those with flannel or other backings.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Washcloth or bath towel
  • Clothes dryer
  • Table
  1. Step 1

Dampen a washcloth or bath towel.

  2. Step 2

Put the washcloth into the clothes dryer with your wrinkled tablecloth.

  3. Step 3

Turn your dryer to its lowest heat setting. Start the dryer.

  4. Step 4

Take tablecloth out after about two minutes---it will be warm---and spread it over a table. Smooth it flat. Let it cool.

  5. Step 5

Return the tablecloth to the dryer with the washcloth. With the dryer still on its lowest heat setting, turn the dryer on again.

  6. Step 6

Check the tablecloth after one minute to make sure it's not getting too hot. Keep it in for one more minute.

  7. Step 7

Remove the tablecloth and spread it on the table. It should now be wrinkle-free.

Tips & Warnings
  • Store plastic tablecloths by rolling them rather than folding them to keep creases from forming.
  • Don't leave plastic tablecloths unattended in the dryer. If they get too hot, the tablecloths can melt, damaging the inside of your dryer.
