    • 2

Use an Allen wrench to remove the set screw that secures the handle to the kitchen faucet. Lift the handle straight up off the faucet.

    • 3

Use a wrench to turn the adjusting ring counterclockwise to remove the ring. Lift the faucet cap and the spout away from the base.

    • 4

Use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the cam and cam washer out of the faucet body. The cam sits directly over the ball and has a washer underneath it. The cam rotates the ball to direct the proper flow of hot and cold water. Make note of the position of the ball and pull the ball stem up and remove the ball.

Use the needle nose pliers to lift out the old valve seals and springs within the faucet cavity. Carefully use the needle nose pliers to install the valve seats if necessary, due their small size.

Replace the corroded ball with a new one and reinstall the ball into the faucet body cavity. Make sure the ball is reinstalled in the same position as it was before removal.

    • 7

Insert the new cam washer into the cam. Insert the cam into the faucet body making sure to fit the lug on the cam into the notch of the faucet body. The lug is a protrusion on the cam used for alignment to the faucet body.
