How to Locate the Part Number for a General Electric Oven

When scheduling a service call, selling your oven, searching for instructions to repair your General Electric oven or looking for parts for your GE oven, you'll need to reference your part number. The part number is printed in one of several places on your General Electric stove or oven. Depending on your model, it can be difficult or easy to find.       Open the oven door. Check between the hinges for a panel displaying the part number, serial number and model number. Look at the back of the oven in the upper right hand corner as well. Finally, check on the frame behind the door.

      Lift the service panel. Some ovens have panels that can be lifted or removed in order to access the elements or light the pilot light. You can often access this area simply by lifting on the top of the oven. Look on the right and left sides of the frame for the numbers.

      Open the drawer attached to the oven. It may be printed on the frame behind the drawer or on the drawer itself.

      Check the hood or any attached cabinets for the model number.
