How to Track Down Money Grams
If you happen to be out of checks, but need to be able to send money without sending cash, you can use a MoneyGram. A MoneyGram is a money order, much like a check. But it is paid for in cash, not drawn off your personal bank account. If you need to track your money order, you will want to follow the steps below.

Consult your MoneyGram receipt, taking note of its order number.

To find out if the MoneyGram has already been cashed, call 1-800-542-3590. You will need to enter your MoneyGram number and the exact dollar amount of the money order. The automated system will be able to inform you if the order has been cashed.

If the money order has not been cashed and the recipient states he or she has not received it, you will need to fill out a claim card.

Print out the claim card and fill it out. Affix your money order stub to the sheet as indicated. Mail the claim card to the address listed on the card.

Tips & Warnings
If you have sent your MoneyGram within two weeks of your request, the money order may still be in transit. It is recommended that you wait two full weeks before filing a claim card.
