How to Roll Towels Spa-Style

Spa towels have a chic elegance that's easy to replicate in your own bathroom. In addition to looking spa-like, rolled towels take up less space, don't get creased the way folded towels can, and you can store them in plain sight. For optimum spa style, choose all-white towels, but even old and mismatched towels look sleeker with this treatment.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Lay your towel out flat on a firm surface, such as a counter or floor.

  2. Step 2

Fold the towel lengthwise into equal thirds.

  3. Step 3

Starting at one end, roll the towel up. Don't pull the towel tight as you are rolling it; just keep a steady pressure as you roll.

  4. Step 4

Store the towel, seam-side down, on the shelf or counter. Repeat for each towel.

  5. Step 5

As you're putting towels away, stack them in pyramid shapes: Place two rolled towels side by side and the third rolled towel centered on top of the other two.

Tips & Warnings
  • Rolled towels also look attractive arranged in baskets or buckets. Put them into the container standing straight up, starting by lining them up along the outside of perimeter and then filling the center of the container. Try the same technique on dish towels, sheets and washcloths.
