How to put an Xbox DVD Drive Into the PC
The Xbox comes with a DVD drive that can play discs inserted into the video game player. But if the Xbox is no longer being used, this drive can be taken out and used in a PC to provide for a second DVD drive. The process is straightforward, and just requires patience and the ability to follow steps exactly in the necessary order. Using an Xbox DVD drive in a computer will not damage it in any way.

Tips & Warnings
Wear a an anti-static strap when handling the Xbox DVD drive and working inside of the computer, as it will remove the chance of static electricity damaging electronic components. There might not be enough power in the PC's connector to eject the DVD drive's tray. If that is the case, just pull out the tray and push it back in to use it.
Using an Xbox with the cover off can lead to potential electrical shocks. Do not touch any of the components of the Xbox while the top is off and it is plugged in for power.
