How to Get Pregnant on Sim2 for PC

The most innovative feature of The Sims 2 for PC is the Sims' newfound ability to procreate. While Sims in the original version of the game were immortal, those in The Sims 2 go through several stages of life including baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult, and elder. Sims must have children of their own to perpetuate their lineage.

1. Select one adult male and one adult female Sim that you want to have a baby together. Direct them to talk, flirt, hug, and kiss until their relationship has progressed through the crush stage and into love.

2. Find an appropriate location for the Sims to perform the "Try for Baby" interaction. This can be a double bed, hot tub, love tub, or clothing booth. If you do not have one of these items on the lot already, you will need to purchase one. The clothing booth can only be found on a public lot.

3. Direct one of the Sims to go relax on the bed, get in the hot tub, or get in the clothing booth. Direct the second Sim to join him.

4. Check the daily relationship and lifetime relationship of the Sims. For the "Try for Baby" interaction to be accepted, the daily relationship must be above 85 in the bed or hot tub and above 45 in the love tub. The lifetime relationship of the Sims must be above 65 in the bed or hot tub or above 25 in the love tub. In the clothing booth, there are no relationship score requirements. If the relationship scores are at or above these levels, proceed to the next step. If not, perform more social interactions to increase your score.

5. Direct one Sim to perform the "Try for Baby" interaction on the second Sim. Listen carefully for the sound of lullaby chimes following the interaction. If you hear this chime, your Sim has successfully gotten pregnant. If you do not hear these chimes, you will need to try again.

Tips & Warnings

• If you have expansion packs for The Sims 2 you might have additional places that you can perform the "Try for Baby" interaction, including a car and a closet. Male Sims can get pregnant through alien abduction. If a Sim looks through the telescope often enough, an alien abduction may occur. If the abducted Sim is a male, he will return pregnant.
• If the Sims' relationship scores are too low, or are only slightly above the required scores, the interaction might be rejected. If the "Try for Baby" interaction is rejected, the relationship scores for both Sims will take a hit.
