Rich colors define Tiffany style lamps

The deep rich colors of a Tiffany style lamp can set the tone for a fashionable monochromatic room design. Whether you place an accent lamp in a small alcove, set a lamp on the bureau or use a Tiffany style mission lamp on the bedside table, the room will gain depth and sophistication. Create a contemporary ambiance with the classic jewel toned lamp as the starting point.

Things You'll Need:

  • Paint color chips
  1. Step 1

Identify your favorite color of glass from either a brightly colored or muted mission style of Tiffany lamp. This will be the color scheme for your entire room.

  2. Step 2

Select paint sample chips that most closely match the red, green, yellow, brown or amber tone of glass you chose. The paint chips will have several shades of this matching color. Use these shades to pick out your wall paint, textiles, floor covering and furniture.

  3. Step 3

Assign the lamp to either a focal point or accent role. If the lamp is a focal point, consider using a Tiffany style floor lamp or hanging lamp. As an accent, use a desk or table lamp.

  4. Step 4

Accessorize the room once the walls are painted, the furniture and bedcover in place. Highlight the design with lush tapestry pillows, rich glass vases and a soft throw blanket in the same monochromatic tones.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a Tiffany style lamp that has hand cut glass and leaded welding to ensure the richest color quality.
