Microsoft Works Task Launcher includes many different templates designed for a variety of purposes. A wide selection of newsletter templates assists you in creating newsletters for your business, your club, company, organization or school. Making a newsletter with a Microsoft Works template is a straightforward process.

Instructions

      Launch the Microsoft Works Task Launcher. You can do this by clicking on the Start button at the bottom-left corner of your screen and typing "Microsoft Works" into the text box, or by clicking the shortcut to Microsoft Works on your desktop, if you have a shortcut to it there.

      Click on "Templates" at the top of the menu that is displayed. On the left side of the screen, click on "Newsletters and Flyers." A series of template styles is displayed. Click on the one that says "Newsletters."

      A variety of newsletter styles appears. You can preview each newsletter by clicking on it. When you have decided which style is appropriate for your purposes, click on the arrow next to "Use this style" at the top of the window.

      A new document based on the template opens in Microsoft Works Word Processor. Edit the newsletter to suit your needs. Change the text and add your own body text and headlines. You can adjust the margins by clicking on "File" and then "Page Setup."

      If you want to delete and change the picture, click once on it and press the delete key on your computer keyboard. You can add a different picture if you like by choosing "Insert" at the top of the window, navigating to the picture you want, and double-clicking on it. You can choose a different picture from clip art or from your files.

      Click on the File menu and choose "Save" to save your document. Print it out by clicking on the File menu and choosing "Print."
