An acne mark can be an unpleasant reminder of a past pimple. Long after a pimple has vanished, a flat red acne mark can linger in its place. Expensive creams can get the job done but why shell out the money when several home remedies work just as well! There are a variety of methods you can use to erase an acne mark cheaply using home remedies.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Dab some lemon juice onto the acne mark. Let it dry and reapply each day until the mark fades. Lemon juice has skin lightening properties so be sure to apply it only to the acne mark and not the surrounding skin.

  2. Step 2

Slice a potato and rub the cut end onto the acne mark. No need to leave the potato there- just let the potato juice dry and repeat daily. Sliced potato has been known to not only heal an acne mark but also a blemish.

  3. Step 3

Enlist the help of vitamins. Vitamin E, when applied topically to an acne mark, can moisturize the skin and promote healing. Vitamin C serums are also effective on acne marks as it promotes collagen growth and skin rejuvenation.

  4. Step 4

Use lavendar oil. Lavendar oil is one of the best skin home remedies as it is not only effective on an acne mark but also any other type of scar. It can be irritating so it's better to mix it with a carrier oil such as jojoba oil instead of applying directly to the acne mark.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember, an acne mark can take several months to go away. Be patient and keep using your selected home remedies consistently until the acne mark is gone.
  • If you are pregnant, do not use any home remedies on an acne mark without consulting your doctor first.
