Doing a blowout right will save you time, and do less damage to your hair. Here's how to give yourself a professional blowout in about ten minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blow dryer
  • products appropriate for your hair
  • a round brush
  • a hair clip
  1. Step 1

Gather the essentials. This would include the hair dryer (duh), a towel, a round brush, a hair clip, and styling products appropriate for your hair. If you have fine hair, sprize on some volumizing spray. For curls, dab on some flexible hold hair-gel. If you have thick hair, use a hair protecting spray.

  2. Step 2

Towel dry your hair and then add the correct styling product for your hair. Set the dryer to high heat and medium speed. Comb through your hair with your fingers. Brushing wet hair can cause it to snap and this can seriously damage you hair. Lift hair at the root with your fingers as you blow dry them. Sweep you hair from side to side to dry all those sneaky underneath peices are dry. Keep drying untill yor hair is mostly dry, with a few damp pieces around you face.

  3. Step 3

Clip up the front part of your hair. An easy way to do this is to make a horizontal part going from the backs of ears. Clip this section of hair up and out of the way in the front. If your dryer has an attachable nozzle, this is the time to use it. If not, that's fine too, though drying time may take longer. Set the dryer to high. With your brush, brush out sections of hair about 2-3 inches wide each. Wrap the end of the hair around the brush and secure the ends with your fingers or thumb (however it's easiest for you to hold it). Run the dryer up and down the length of the secton of heair to dry. Continue on in the same fashion for the rest of the hair in the back.

  4. Step 4

Unclip the fron of your hair. Position your brush under the head right at your hairline (or widow's peak, if you have one) Brush you hair straight up. Continue rolling the brush under the sections of hair to dry them, and run the dryer up and down as you did for the back of your hair. Repeat untill every section is dry.

  5. Step 5

Set your dryer to cool, and give your hair a final blast of air to set those final damp spots. If your hair needs more volume, add some volumizing spray or mousse at your roots, and dry in the same manner. Smooth hair out with a tiny bit of serum, or mist with spray if you want a kinda messy look.

    You're good to go!

Tips & Warnings
