Things You'll Need:
- Large baking dish, chicken breast, various vegetables
-
Step 1
Walk in the store with confidence that you know what you are doing, grab a shopping basket and head over to the meat department. Ask the butcher for some fresh skinless chicken breast, get one breast per person coming over. Ask your butcher to wrap the breast in butcher paper. Put wrapped chicken in your basket. Now walk over to the canned soup area of the store. Grab one small can of cream of mushroom, or cream of celery soup along with one large can of cream of chicken soup and put these along side your chicken in the basket. They will formally meet later on. Get one can each per three breast.
-
Step 2
Next walk over to the fresh vegetable depaertment and grab some red potatoes, carrots, a clove of garlic, red onion, broccoli, and whatever else sounds good, put them in the basket also. Again they will meet the others later on. Now walk over and get a nice bag of salad along with some salad dressing in the refrigerated department. Keep seperate from the others. Now go over to the bakery department and get your favorite pie and some ice cream. Also keep seperate. Head to checkout stand, pay and go home.
-
Step 3
Now that the hard part is done get all your groceries inside and sit on the counter. Get a large baking dish out and put the cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup in the bottom of the dish and spread evenly. Next get your chicken breast, three per dish, and put on top of the soup, season with some your favorite seasoning. I use my personal Pepper Joy that I make. Cut your vegetables in sections no more that two inches long or wide, and put on top of the chicken. Told you they would all meet. Pour the large can of cream of chicken soup on top and spread eavenly. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and cook one hour per pound of chicken.
-
Step 4
About fifteen munites before the chicken is done put the bagged salad, yes I know it is cheating, in a bowl and place in your serving area. get out plates, and silverware along with glasses for drinks. Check to see if the chicken is done along with the vegetables. Do this by putting a fork in the chicken and see if it seperates by flakes and the vegetables slide off the fork when you poke them. Now serve your dinner. Don't forget to put the pie in the oven for dessert.
