How to Choose the Best Eyeshadow

The best eyeshadow is sometimes hard to find if you really think it through. There are several things that should be taken into consideration before the purchase. After all, how many times have you bought eyeshadow then when you got it home and tried it on it looked awful? I think it's safe to say that many of us have been there and done that.

1. To choose the best eyeshadow you first need to decide where and when you plan to wear it. For example, is it going to be worn daily and mostly at work or is it for evening wear, or possibly for a special occasion? The best eyeshadow for work needs to be professional and versatile, since it is your job and probably wear a different outfit each day.
   
   Eyeshadow for a night on the town is typically the opposite. When we set out for the night it's common to want something with flash and pizazz that makes us look glamorous and sexy. Lastly, a special occasion is mostly for a wedding or prom where we want to look classy.

2. Think about your age. Many women do not want to admit that certain shades of eyeshadow they wore when they were younger are no longer flattering. The problem is that they can make you look older and washed out. For an older woman to find the best eyeshadow she should try on the shade at an upscale department store and consult with the cosmetician.
   
   Young ladies can wear most any shade of eyeshadow and pull it off, especially if they're very pretty. Naturally, skin tone and eye color will make a difference and need to be a consideration. It also helps if you have someone with you like a friend to get honest feedback.

3. Decide if you want to purchase quality or cheap eyeshadow. There is a huge difference in how they feel; look and how long they last. Quality eyeshadow such as Prescriptives, Channel and Clinique, to name a few, are worth the higher price.
   
   The best eyeshadow, however, is the one you can afford. While upscale eyeshadow is sure to cost more, at least upfront, it pays off in the end in how long it lasts. Cheap eyeshadow is used up rather quickly, since you need several applications to even see the shade.
   
   Finally, don't end up with eyeshadow that you won't use and whenever you can, opt for quality eyeshadow and buy cheap when you can't afford it.
