How to Share your Faith without being Religious

It is important as a Christian, to be able to share your faith with others, without coming off as religious. It is also very important, to try to share it in such a way, that does not confuse or turn people off, to the wonderful truth you desire to impart to them. It takes the love of God, wisdom, and skill to to effectively tell people, the reason for your faith.

Step 1

Pray to ask God for direction: Ask God for opportunities to share your faith. He will lead you to people and people to you, who are open and read to hear what you have to say.
Step 2

Use wisdom: When sharing your faith with others, use wisdom. If the person is busy and does not have the time or desire to hear what you are saying, leave them alone. Wait for a better opportunity when they are more receptive.
Step 3

Speak in everyday terms: When attempting to share the Gospel, do not use be religious or use religious terms. People may not understand spiritual terms, that you use in church and among your Christian fiends. Speak plain English!
Step 4

Compassion: Be compassionate when sharing your faith with others. Do not be judgmental and show the love of God. Remember that at one time you did not have a relationship with God either.
Step 5

Pray simply: After you have shared you faith with simplicity, if God should give you an opportunity to pray for the person, pray simply and tastefully.
