Step 1
Store aloe vera gel in the fridge (or put it in the freezer for a short period of time) then use a cotton pad or gauze to apply a layer to the areas affected with hives. I suggest doing this in the morning and evening, and throughout the day as needed.

Step 2
For a bath soak that will help treat hives, pour a cup of baking soda under the running water (make sure it's warm but not hot) and add a teaspoon of lavender oil.

Step 3
Many people suffer from hives because of stress. Learn to practice stress management on your own, or get help from a hypnotherapist.

Step 4
If you break out in hives frequently, it could be caused from a food allergy. You should consider seeing a doctor and asking about an elimination diet to get to the cause of the hives.

Step 5
Vitamin C is an antihistamine and can help prevent and treat hives. I suggest taking an extra 1000mg a day as a preventative, or take it daily as needed when you have hives.
