Things You'll Need:
- Unique Knowledge or Skill to share with others
- Ability to write in a "how to" format
- Computer with Internet Access
- Digital Camera

Step 1
The first step is to brainstorm about the type of information that you would like to share with others. Everyone has their own unique set of skills and knowledge that they can teach to others. Some of this knowledge is in great demand and others are willing to pay for access to what you know. For example, maybe you are really good at building miniature dollhouse furniture. You've built it for friends and family, and even sold a few pieces here and there. Now what if you took that knowledge and condensed it into an easy "how to" guide for others to follow.

Step 2
The second step is developing your information product. This requires you to analyze the step by step process involved in your special skill. You will need to create an outline of some type and detail the creative process that you use. Physical products, such as the example above, may require a materials list and drawings showing exactly how the products are constructed and what materials are needed. Be sure to include complete and through instructions for every step of the process. Including pictures of each step is also very helpful.

Step 3
The third and final step of making money online with information products is marketing your product to others. Getting the word out both online and in your local area is important. Show examples of your completed works and then offer your information products as a tutorial for others to follow. Write about your "how to" resource on forums and blogs and network with others that are involved in your area of expertise. Selling your tutorial through sites like ebay.com and etsy.com are good places to start.
