Instructions

    • 1

Apply construction adhesive to the back of your first tile. Place a bead of glue around the back edge and then place an X from corner to corner. When applying glue to the rest of the tiles, follow this same procedure.

    • 2

Press the tile against the wall in the upper left hand corner of the wall. Press the edges of the tile firmly against the corner and against the ceiling. Hold the tile in place for a minute to allow time for the adhesive to set. Construction grade adhesive sets quickly.

    • 3

Apply glue to the next tile and then place that tile next to the first tile. Position the tile firmly against the first tile and against the ceiling to avoid any gaps that could allow sound to pass through. Repeat this for every tile in the first row except for the last tile in the row.

    • 4

Measure the space between the second to last tile on the wall and the end of the wall. Cut a tile to size with scissors or a utility knife. Once cut, glue the final tile in the first row onto the wall.

    • 5

Apply the second and each subsequent row of tiles just as you installed the first row. Do this until you get to the last row closest to the floor.

    • 6

Measure the distance between the bottom of the second to last row and the floor with the tape measure. Cut tiles to fit the measurement with the scissors or utility knife and then install the final row just as you installed the previous rows.
