KitchenAid offers a full line of cookware. Finishes include non-stick hard anodized, brushed stainless steel, standard stainless steel, aluminum non-stick and a variety of hard-based porcelain and anodized cookware. The same basic principles apply when cleaning all KitchenAid cookware: You won't need to rush out and buy any steel wool, a chisel or any fancy cleaners made especially for Kitchenaid. The company knows that all its cookware needs to work for home cooks and be easy to clean to maintain its excellent reputation.

Things You'll Need:

  • Non-abrasive dish detergent
  • Soft brush, dish cloth or sponge
  1. Step 1

Immediately after using your KitchenAid cookware, empty it of any remaining food and liquid with a non-abrasive utensil. Rubber-coated spatulas, spoons or scrapers work great on KitchenAid cookware.

  2. Step 2

Place two to three drops of a mild dish detergent in your KitchenAid cookware, and fill it with warm water. Allow the water to remain in the pan for approximately 20 minutes to loosen any remaining food particles.

  3. Step 3

Empty your KitchenAid cookware. Fill the sink with hot water and five drops of non-abrasive dish detergent. Submerge the KitchenAid pan or pot in the soapy water. Using a soft brush, dish cloth or sponge, clean the handles, sides, inside and bottom of your pans.

  4. Step 4

Rinse your KitchenAid cookware thoroughly, and dry it with a clean dish towel. Rinsing and drying your cookware immediately after washing it will remove any detergent residue and prevent water marks.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have burnt-on food that didn't loosen after soaking it for 20 minutes, add a mixture of baking soda and water and boil it loose. After 20 minutes the food particles will loosen and float. For each cup of water, add one teaspoon of baking soda.
  • Don't use abrasive utensils or cleaners (including bleach) for any KitchenAid cookware. Only KitchenAid's stainless Gourmet Distinctions line is dishwasher safe.
