Lasko ionic fans remove allergens, dust, mold and pet dander from the air. These fans also help circulate and cool the air. Lasko makes several models of ionic, oscillating fans with air purifiers in space saving, tower designs. Because these fans are carefully engineered electronic devices, cleaning them requires a delicate touch.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Do not disassemble a Lasko ionic fan. These fans are not designed to be serviced by consumers and doing so may damage the unit or void the warranty. Lasko expressly advises against opening the Lasko ionic fan in order to clean it.

  2. Step 2

Turn off and unplug the fan.

  3. Step 3

Dampen a soft, clean cloth. Wipe down the exterior to remove dust and light soil.

  4. Step 4

Dab a cotton swab in vinegar or rubbing alcohol and gently dab away sticky messes and persistent stains.

  5. Step 5

Attach a soft brush to your vacuum cleaner. Gently vacuum out the back grill of the fan.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never immerse the fan in water. The cloth should be only slightly damp.
