      Call your Alltel cell phone from another phone. This works if you know the general area where the phone was lost. Use another cell phone, and keep calling until you hear your lost phone ringing. Or have someone call repeatedly from a landline phone, as you walk around the area, listening for the ring.

      Retrace your steps. Look in your car, then go back to stores and restaurants you've visited. Particularly for locations more than 30 minutes away, call first to see if the cell phone has been found and turned in.

      Contact Alltel, which is now part of Verizon Wireless. Let them know the phone has been lost. They can temporarily disable your account so no one else may use the phone using your account information.
