  • Garden hose

      Put on latex or rubber gloves and a protective face mask.

      Take the life jacket outside to an area where you can clean it.

      Use the nylon scrubbing pad to remove any mold spores that are present on the surface of the jacket.

      Spray the nylon scrubbing pad with water from a garden hose. Set the pad aside for later use.

      Fill a bucket with one part 35 percent hydrogen peroxide and one part water.

      Lay the life jacket in a clean, sunny area, and pour the solution on all of the affected areas.

      Allow the solution to remain on the life jacket for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
