How to Erase a Liftmaster Remote
LiftMaster is a brand of residential garage door openers manufactured by Chamberlain. The company offers a variety of remote controls, ranging from their premium remote to a keychain-sized remote. If you are replacing your LiftMaster remote, you must first erase it from the memory of the motor unit. After it has been erased, you can program it to recognize your new remote. Locate the "Learn" button on your LiftMaster motor unit. This may be on the rear of the unit.

Press "Learn" on the motor unit and hold it in until the Learn indicator light goes out. This should take approximately six seconds.

Release the "Learn" button. All codes should now be erased from your LiftMaster garage door opener.
