How to Sow Carrot Seeds
The propagation of carrots originated in Afghanistan in the 7th century for medicinal purposes. The first carrots weren't even orange. They had purple skin with a yellow center. As carrots grew in popularity, changing in available colors and sizes, even their lacy leaves were used to adorn women's hair. Carrots thrive in loose, deep soil in raised beds that allow for plenty growth room. Carrot seeds are so small that a single teaspoon can hold 2,000, making it an arduous task when planting them.
