How to Install a Flowmaster Exhaust on a Ford F150

Flowmaster makes exhausts for the Ford F-150, These typically amount to a replacement muffler with a special resonance chamber with baffles that produce a sound unique to the company. Flowmaster claims that their muffler improves exhaust flow for optimized back pressure. If you have removed your old exhaust and want to install a new Flowmaster muffler in its place, you'll need to know the proper procedure.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Place the exhaust gasket between the muffler flange and the exhaust pipe flange.

  2. Step 2

    Align the muffler flange mounting holes with the exhaust piping flange mounting holes.

  3. Step 3

    Thread the bolts that connect the muffler to the exhaust piping and tighten them.

  4. Step 4

    Fit the rubber hook on the underside of the F-150 over the mounting hook on the top of the Flowmaster exhaust.
