Step 1
Sign up for a paypal account. Paypal is a safe, secure way to pay and receive payment online. Paypal also lets you dispute payments or charges on your account and can effectively help you get your money back if you are taken advantage off or ripped off in anyway. In order to sign up for a paypal account, you will need a bank account.

Step 2
Sign up for an eBay account. EBay is an online auction house. Basically you list the info about the items you are selling, including a picture(s) if available, and posting it on their website for viewers across the globe to see and purchase. In order to sign up for a seller account, you will need a credit/debit card and a paypal account. Once you sign up for an eBay account and set it as a seller account. You can start selling almost anything, from brand new items to old used items (when selling, be sure to describe the item you are selling). EBay is a great way to earn extra income. The only downside is that it cost money to list items on eBay and a final value fee is included if the item sells. Even if you don’t think you have anything to sell, don’t fret, follow the next step to find out how you can get items for free to sell on eBay!

Step 3
OK, this step may seem a little odd, but it can be a big money maker if you have the right eye. It’s called by many as junk picking, dumpster diving, etc., etc. Junk picking is the act of going through someone else’s trash to find something of use or value. Items I’ve personally found include a full set of golf clubs w/bag (cost: 0$, sold for: $80), a perfectly working Compaq PC (1.8 GHz processor, 512 MB ram, 40 GB HD, DVD/CD-RW, see photo) (cost: $0, sold for: $140) and (2) Playstations (PS1’s) (cost: $0, sold for: $35). Each of the items I found did need to be cleaned up a little, but after that, they looked good as new. Junk picking is a great way to find items to sell, but be careful; some areas have laws in effect to prevent such actions. If local restrictions allow junk picking, be sure to be curious and only take items that are clearly visible. Don’t go sifting through other peoples trash cans in hopes of finding a hidden gem, most likely all you’ll find is a big mess. Be careful that you don’t make a mess, and if you do, try and be courteous and put it back in the can, it’s just plain rude to leave a mess for someone else to clean up.

Step 4
Sign up and write for Ehow. This website, Ehow, is a great method for making a little extra money each month. It may not seem like much (sometimes as little as a few cents for each article), but since you earn you profit as long as your articles are posted on the website; your few cents can quickly turn into big bucks! The number of people that read your article affects how much you make so try and write something that you feel people will want to know about! By adding graphics to an article, you increase its profitability too! The more articles you post, the more money you have a chance at earning. When wringing an article, try to be through and when available, have someone else spell check and read o.ver your article to make sure it’s clear enough for someone else to understand (sometimes something that may seem obvious to you may not occur to another individual).

Step 5
Finally, sign up for a youdata account. Youdata is an advertising website that pays you to look at advertisements. You are typically paid about $.05 per advertisement, but it only takes about 5 minutes a day (with typically a dollar’s worth of advertisements each time they update). Youdata pays users every Friday, regardless of how much they earn. This can be nice for users who would like their earnings faster than the middle of the following month (like other pay sites, ehow included). The main downside it that the payments are lower than with other paying websites, but there can be more of them.
