Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Time
  • Effort
  • Access to a computer
  1. Step 1

    Use the internet.
The internet has an infinite amount of ways to make extra money. If you are computer savvy, you can create a website, or get paid to web design. Not so computer savvy? Create a blog about your life/hobbies. This is a great way to earn money if you have children or are a stay at home mom. People love to read about other families (i.e John and Kate plus Eight). Get your blog/ website started and add Google Adsense. You will be earning extra money just writing about things you love!

  2. Step 2

    Cash in around the house.
Many people don't know it, but you have extra money laying around your house! Do a thorough cleaning of your house and separate everything you don't need/use. Think before you throw things in the trash, it could be valuable to someone else. One man's trash is another man's treasure! Have a yard sale to get rid of these items, or sell them on ebay or craigslist. If you have a lot of clothes, try selling them to Plato's Closet or somewhere similar.

  3. Step 3

    Can you cook/bake?
If you are good at cooking or baking, try making a special treat and selling it around the neighborhood. You can also visit your local salon and sell your goods there. Not only is it a great way to earn extra money, it's also an easy way.

  4. Step 4

Know a lot about sports/sporting events?
You may have what it takes to become a ticket broker! Buy tickets to sporting events early and sell them for double, even triple the cost you paid later! This is a great way to make extra money if you are willing to make a small investment first.

  5. Step 5

    Sell yourself.
If you're a male, donate sperm; you can get around $100 per deposit. Females, you can donate your eggs to women who may not be fortunate enough to have children. You can get between $3,000-$5,000 dollars. Not willing to do that? You could always sell your hair and make some extra money (if it's long enough).

  6. Step 6

    Have a car wash.
It may seem silly, but you can actually make a lot of extra money throwing a neighborhood car wash. Get the kids involved (it's free fun for them), and wash away!

  7. Step 7

    Tutor/Teach.
Do you have skill in a certain area that many people want to learn? Be a tutor! You can make extra money easily if you are bilingual, good at math, a good cook, computer savvy...the list goes on and on!

  8. Step 8

    Get a census job.
The 2010 census will begin hiring workers in the spring. They offer very flexible hours, and easy tasks that range from editing addresses to going door to door and collecting information. Check out resources for the site.

  9. Step 9

    Check Craigslist for odd jobs.
Craigslist contains many "odd jobs" which are great for making extra money. People often need help moving/cleaning. The tasks are simple, yet pay off greatly. You can also babysit, or arrange to pick up someone's kids after school for extra money.

  10. Step 10

    Be a Freelance writer.
Have a passion for writing? Be a freelance writer! All work is done from home, making it super convenient.
