Did you know that you have the ability to change the size of your icons in Microsoft Windows 7? Changing the size of your icons allows you to be able to see your icons based on your visual preference.

Large icons will appear larger, while consuming a larger amount of your desktop workspace. Smaller icons will consume less desktop space, but will appear smaller and harder to read. Medium is the default setting. If you are unsure of which size to try, choose medium.

Here are ways to change the size of your icons to your own size preference.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Right-click your Windows desktop.

  2. Step 2

Select the "View" option from the menu.

  3. Step 3

Select either the large, medium, or small icon option. Once selected your desktop will adjust to your select choice.

  4. Step 4

Continue to select whichever size you'd like until your icons are the size you prefer. Medium is the default size for icons.
