If you have carried your pregnancy to full term, or you are over 37 weeks pregnant, you can begin to find natural ways to induce labor. Many women wish to go into labor on their own, without having to be induced in the hospital and luckily there are some very helpful ways to induce labor naturally.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A clear understanding of how to induce labor.
  1. Step 1

First off, one of the easiest ways to induce labor, is to walk. I’m sure this is something you have already heard of, although there are some extra tips to follow in order to help make this process work better. When walking, try to walk through each contraction, without stopping. This may cause the contractions to become more intense, helping to induce labor naturally. You can also try walking up hill. Find a safe park that has hills and have your partner walk up and down the hills with you.

  2. Step 2

Another great way to induce labor naturally is to have sex with your partner. I understand that most women are very uncomfortable towards the end of their pregnancy. However, having sex will help induce labor naturally, all while making your husband happy, as he has probably been shut down many times during this trimester.

  3. Step 3

Cleaning the house is one of the best ways to induce labor. You can get some of the last minute laundry and cleaning done, before the arrival of your new little one, all while being able to potentially induce labor naturally. Remember to try and push through those little contractions, without stopping for a rest time. This will help speed up the process in order to induce labor.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep in mind that it is completely unsafe to try and induce labor naturally if you have not carried your pregnancy to full term, or at least 37 weeks. Doctors prefer babies to be born 37 weeks along or more, as this will ensure that the child’s lungs are fully developed.
