How to bury the hatchett and forgive your enemy.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Burying the hatchet and forgiving someone for some they have done to you can be difficult for anyone. However, there are few things that may help you do this and move forward with your life.

  2. Step 2

First, by holding grudges and anger toward another really does wear you down both physically and mentally. When you forgive someone, you are really doing it for yourself not for the other person. Forgiveness helps you excel and move to the next level. Holding grudges is one of the unhealthiest things a person can do.

  3. Step 3

Finally, you will fee a sigh of relief once you have done this. Harboring anger and bad feelings toward others wastes energy that you could be using doing something productive and constructive. If you cannot speak with the person face to face, you may try writing them a letter or emailing them. At least you have made the effort and that is something in which you can be proud.
