How to Make Your Own Scented Liquid Bath Soap

This simple liquid bath soap recipe can be used to make your own scented liquid bath soap with your own choice of scented oils.

Things You'll Need

• 1/2 Cup of Glycerin Soap
• 2 Cups of Water
• Pinch of Borax
• 20-40 Drops of Essential Oil

Instructions

1. Chop or grate the glycerin soap into a double broiler or small saucepan.

2. With the heat set to low, melt the glycerin soap with the water and stir the mixture together gently until it melts and combined.

3. Pour in the borax and stir together gently until is fully dissolved and thoroughly mixed with the glycerin water.

4. Remove the pan from the heat. Add in the essential oil while stirring the mixture together, I suggest adding 20 drops then adjusting if you prefer a stronger scent.

5. Once the essential oil has been thoroughly stirred into the mixture, pour the liquid bath soap into a soap dispenser or cosmetics bottle, allow the liquid bath soap to reach room temperature before covering it. It can be stored at room temperature and will stay fresh for a couple of months.
