Things You'll Need:
- Measuring spoons and cups
- Mixing bowl and spoons
- 8x8 pan
- Flour, sugar, cocoa, vanilla extract, baking soda, vinegar, soy milk, margarine

Step 1
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Then mix together your dry ingredients:
1 1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt -

Next, add in your wet ingredients:
1 c. warm water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. distilled white vinegar (not essential, so if you don't have it that is okay)
Pour ingredients into a greased 8x8 pan. Bake for 30 minutes, until an inserted knife comes out clean. Then let the cake completely cool before putting on the glaze. -
Step 3
For the glaze in a small pot combine:
1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. margarine (I use Smart Balance light)
2 tbsp. soy milk
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Bring the ingredients to a boil and stir frequently. Remove from heat then stir for 5 minutes. Pour glaze onto your cake. This can be a bit messy if you take the cake out of the pan first. It hardens pretty quickly so don't wait too long to add your sprinkles. -
Step 4
Let the glaze dry completely then, enjoy!
